The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for proposed transportation improvements in the vicinity of Miller Creek Road.

Improvements to the area are necessary as the population is expected to increase in the near future. The needed improvements in this area have been a priority to the local community, Missoula County, and the city of Missoula. Improved access into the Miller Creek area is needed for safety and to relieve congestion.
